PENNSTAR BANK ANNOUNCES ALLIANCE WITH INTUIT’S QUICKEN AND QUICKBOOKS SOFTWARE
SCRANTON, PA (JUNE 10, 2008) – Pennstar Bank has formed an alliance with software maker Intuit to offer Web Connect service. Pennstar Bank customers can now download their account information into Intuit’s Quicken® 2008 or QuickBooks® 2008 software, eliminating the need to manually enter transaction data. Quicken is geared toward individuals, while QuickBooks targets small businesses.
At Pennstar Bank’s free Online Banker service (www.pennstarbank.com), customers can download their account and transaction information into Quicken or QuickBooks software through Web Connect, an industry-standard interface for exchanging financial data over the Internet. Customers can use the software’s One-Step Update feature, which downloads data in minutes.
