Government Checking Accounts

Pennstar Bank offers checking accounts to local governments, providing unlimited check-writing abilities and a free supply of checks. Statements are mailed to the customer as of the last day of each month and include images of the front and back of each canceled check. These images are presorted by check number and provided on paper pre-punched to fit into a three-ring binder.

Government Interest-Bearing Checking Accounts

Pennstar Bank offers interest-bearing checking accounts to local governments, providing unlimited checkwriting abilities with service charges that can be offset by an earnings credit based on balances maintained. Interest is deposited directly into the account each month. Interest rates are variable rate and subject to change with market conditions
